Notice regarding the handling of personal information
The Japanese Society of Dysphagia Rehabilitation strives to handle personal information appropriately in accordance with the following regulations.
1. Collection of personal information
The Japanese Society of Dysphagia Rehabilitation (hereinafter “the Society”) collects information that could be used to identify specific individuals, but only to the extent necessary to carry out its activities in accordance with the Society’s objectives. As a rule, when personal information is collected, the purpose of collection is clearly stated and collection is subject to the consent of the provider.

*Internal rules of the executive board members regarding the provision of information to a third party: If the executive board members are fully aware of the use of the information and deem it useful in supporting activities such as education and research relating to the field of dysphagia rehabilitation, a list of relevant members (name, position, and name, address, and contact information of their organization) can be provided to the third party after it submits a written pledge (in the format of the Society) declaring that it will comply with the rules regarding the handling of personal information. After the personal information is provided, a notice about the provision of the personal information is published in the official journal of the Society. |
2. Use of personal Information
The Society uses collected personal information only within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of collection. However, in any of the following cases, the information may be used or shared with a third party for a purpose other than that for which it was collected.
- (1) The personal information provider agrees or consents to the disclosure of the personal information.
- (2) The handling of personal data is outsourced within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of collection.
(e.g., web data management of membership information, billing of membership fees, delivery of the Society’s official journal, etc.) - (3) The executive board members deem it necessary for the operation of the Society.
- (4) The disclosure is required by law.
3. Management of personal information
The Society makes every effort to properly manage collected personal information, to prevent its leaking (outside the Society), corruption, falsification, and loss. Furthermore, all contractors, organizations, etc. to which the Society outsources any service are contractually obligated to properly manage personal information to the same degree as the Society.
4. Disclosure and correction of personal information
If a provider of personal information requests the disclosure of their personal information, the Society will, as a rule, disclose such information without delay. In addition, if a provider of personal information requests the correction of their personal information, the correction will be made, as a rule, without delay.
5. Handling of personal information on the web
The use of this website is at the user’s own risk. The Society cannot assume any liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of any information obtained from this website or any other website linked to this website.
6. Changes to rules regarding the handling of personal information
These rules are subject to change without notice, to comply with changes in the law, or for any other reason. The latest rules are always applied to personal information collected by the Society. Any changes in rules are posted on the Society’s website and are effective from the date of posting.

About access logs
The Society’s website keeps a record of all visitors to the site in the form of access logs.
